Tractor Kubota is perfect for farmers
After searching two years for the utility tractor, Allen finally
found Kubota tractor what he was after. This was three years ago
and Allen could not be happier with his choice.
Living up on the Hi-Line in north central Montana, Allen has been
farming for as long as he can remember. He grows winter wheat and
raises a few cows, utilizing his Kubota tractor for just about
everything.
Allen said he likes his Kubota utility tractor so much, that if he had
more cows to justify the use, he would get a bigger tractor.
Originating in Japan, Kubota Corporation soon became an international
brand leader by designing environmentally compatible equipment. Today,
the company sells products in more than 130 countries.
In the 1970's, Kubota Tractor Corporation was formed. Shortly
thereafter, the first Kubota 12 horsepower, four-wheel drive tractor
was introduced. Four-wheel drive was common in larger American
tractors, but until that point was unheard of in compact tractors.
Known for "high performance and powerful maneuverability," Kubota now
makes compact construction equipment, turf equipment, lawn and garden
equipment, pumps, generators and a variety of performance-matched
implements and attachments. In fact, Kubota builds more than 80 styles
of tractors.
According to Allen, his final decision to purchase the Kubota tractor
was because they "looked like a good tractor" and were known for their
longevity.
Han's Kubota tractor has an attachable loader and backhoe. Allen said
he uses it for daily activities, including mowing, cultivating,
feeding and moving round bales. His dad uses his Kubota for working
his trees and in the garden.
"It's something you use every day around the corrals, digging post
holes, scraping corrals," Allen said. "We just use it all the time."
The glide shift transmission is Han's favorite detail. Not a hydro and
not a gear drive as such, but more like a little power shift that can
be shifted on the go, he explained. The Kubota tractor has 12 speeds
forward. It also has a lot of PTO (power take off) for mowing, said
Allen, which means he can back into places and mow.
Allen also likes the quick-attach loader and backhoe. He said he can
have them on or off in a matter of minutes. He also has the
quick-attach bucket, bale spear and pallet fork. All of these
interchange in no time at all. "It is handy and versatile," he said.
"But, I really like that transmission."
Allen said his wife also likes the Kubota because it is easy to drive
and starts well. "We really like the pretty orange color," he added
with a chuckle.
Allen purchased his tractors at Johnson Distributing in Great Falls,
Mont. He said throughout the two years he was looking for a utility
tractor, the business was really good about showing him what they had,
and when the time came, delivered the tractor to his farm. Hans has
yet to have his tractor serviced, and therefore said he cannot comment
on the business's service department. "What we use ours for is just
the little stuff and it works great," he concluded.
