Eicher Motors net profit of Rs.14.18 CroreEicher Motors (Commercial vehicles manufacturer) on Tuesday reported a net profit of Rs 14.18 Crore for the quarter ended 30th September as compared to a net loss of Rs 7.61 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal.The company's total income for the quarter under review grew by 29 per cent at Rs 463.72 crore as against Rs 359.02 in the year ago quarter, Eicher Motors said in a release. For the six month period ended September 30, the company's profit after tax stood at Rs 22.6 crore as against a loss in the same period previous fiscal, the release said. Total revenues for the six month period stood at Rs 854.13 crore as compared to Rs 752.51 crore in the year ago period, the release added. "Our ability to effectively reduce material costs and contain inflation has increased our revenue to expenditure ratio significantly," Eicher Motors Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Siddhatha Lal said.
